Warren Knox, Senior Scientist,
has a broad physical science perspective. At ECG, he manages research partnerships with the academic community,
conducts technical due diligence reviews, supports product and process life cycle analyses, and works with
investors to understand the net environmental impact and long term sustainability of energy and technology funds.
For over thirty years as a scientist and research manager with the Dow Chemical Company, he was responsible for
fundamental research in Analytical Science, Material Science, new product development, Technical Service and
Development, and global hazard communications in Environmental, Health and Safety. Specializing in integrating
technologies from chemistry, analytical science, physics, computer modeling and engineering, he has addressed
research problems in catalysis, polymer and ceramic materials, composites and electronic materials.
Warren received his MS in Physics from Arizona State University. He lives in Nevada City, CA where he is on
the Board of the Fire Safe Council of Nevada County and the Chair of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations
of Nevada County. He is a watercolor artist and a member of the Nevada County Plein Air Painters, a classical
guitarist, and an avid fly fisherman.
