Stephen H. Schneider passed away July 19, 2010. He was 65 years old. Steve was a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, a Senior Fellow at the Woods Institute for the Environment, and Professor by Courtesy in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at Stanford University since September 1992.

He was a close ally of ECG in trying to effect sustainable change and make the world a better place. He will be sorely missed.
